Evacuation drill conducted at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Benha University.

Under the patronage of Nasser El Gizawy, President of the University; Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty,

and under the supervision of Nevin Farouk, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development,

and in coordination with the University’s Crisis and Disaster Management Unit led by Ibrahim Rageh and Rania Moataz,

a virtual evacuation drill was conducted at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Benha University with the aim of training students, faculty members, and staff on rapid response procedures during emergency situations.

The drill aimed to:

  • Enhance the efficiency of rapid emergency response
  • Ensure the readiness of emergency teams and evacuation routes within buildings, laboratories, and workshops
  • Promote awareness of occupational safety procedures

Prior to the drill, an awareness workshop was conducted covering:

  • Principles of occupational safety and health
  • Safe evacuation procedures
  • Fire prevention methods

This initiative comes within the framework of the Faculty’s plan to promote a culture of safety and security and to strengthen preparedness for crises and disasters within the university campus.

The drill contributed significantly to raising awareness and enhancing crisis management capabilities efficiently, and witnessed remarkable cooperation and commitment from all participants.

The Faculty extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to all staff members of the University and Faculty Crisis and Disaster Management Units, administrative security personnel, students, and all participating teams for their valuable cooperation, which contributed to the successful and well-organized execution of the drill.
